FMQ Challenge - February

This month the FMQ Challenge on SewCalGal presents Tutorial by Diane Gaudynski “Echo Feather Plume”.
I have never done feathers before and never thought I could, but I DID IT!!!! It took me several days of drawing, practicing and even thinking why some things go wrong. The left side of the plume was most complicated, then I read this article in Ms. Gaudynski blog and things went better. Here are my practice sandwiches:






My feathers definitively need some improvement, but I am happy with the result! The tutorial is really great.

Одеяло "Домики".

Сшила за месяц, успела как раз к дню рождения старшей дочки. Размер 57"х66". Идея взята из книги Pam Lintott "Layer Cake, Jelly Roll & Charm Quilts".
Внутри 100% шерстяной утеплитель. Одеялко получилось очень мягким. Имениннице понравилось. Уташила его к себе (она живет отдельно), мне только фотография осталась. А так хотелось на собрании гильдии перед своими тетушками похвастаться! Ну, может, и выпрошу на денек :-) Главное - цель достигнута, подарок пришелся по вкусу!
